4th annual Tulsa Roots Rocks the Green

Raleigh, NC’s American Aquarium brings a distinctly Southern perspective to its brand of rock and roll. A road-tested, hard touring outfit, AA’s live shows are full of Springsteen-esque bravado, old-school country lyrical heartbreak, and indie-rock introspection. Burn. Flicker. Die., the band’s 2012 release, was supposed to be its last. Powered by frontman BJ Barham’s skillfully crafted songs of boozing, losing and hard-living, it had the opposite effect, propelling AA into the national spotlight. Named one of Rolling Stone’s “10 New Country Artists You Need to Know,” AA will no doubt rock the Green.
