Jazz in Little Africa pairs top talent from Tulsa’s hip-hop scene with the city’s finest jazz players to explore material from the featured artists’ catalogs, along with selections from 2021’s Fire in Little Africa (Motown Records). The evening’s unique blend of jazz & hip-hop features emcees Young DV & Hakeem Eli’Juwon backed by the Chris Combs Experience: Steph Simon on vocals, Chris Combs on guitar, Bobby Moffett on piano, Dean DeMerritt on upright bass, Josh Raymer on drums, and Kristen Ruyle on percussion.
