TIEMPO LIBRE – Cuban jazz @ Wine, Jazz & World FETE

We’re creating a dedicated dance floor next to the stage at Guthrie Green for this one. Classically trained at Cuba’s premier conservatories, the members of three-time Grammy-nominated Tiempo Libre are modern heirs to the rich musical tradition of their native Cuba. It’s impossible not to move your feet when the group kicks into its charged timba arrangements: an irresistible mix of Latin jazz and Cuban son. Tiempo Libre has introduced Cuban music to new audiences through appearances at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and many other A-list venues.
