Timeline photosUpdate 3/24/23: Workshop is now full. Thanks everyone for your interest. We'll be rolling out more fun activities throughout the year.Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge and the Wichita Wildlight Photographic Society will be hosting a Wildlife Photography Composition Workshop for the general public and photographers on April 22, 2023. The class will offer novice and experienced photographers with an opportunity to learn and share their love of photography and wild landscapes. Members of the Wichita Wildlight Photographic Society will provide instruction and share their wildlife and landscape photography expertise.Participants will meet at the Environmental Education Classroom on the Refuge at 10:00 a.m. on April 22, 2023. One hour of classroom instruction will be followed by two to three hours of fieldwork. During the fieldwork, the class will break into small groups and put lessons learned into practice as we tour the Refuge capturing wildlife and landscape photos. The course will conclude at 2:00 p.m. back at the Environmental Education Building, where we will share photos and experiences.All participants are encouraged to bring camera equipment (if available), a day pack, sturdy hiking shoes, water and a sack lunch.
